Engaged in manufacturing and marketing of auto electrical components for OEM, Replacement and Export Markets, PMP Auto has a product range that includes alternators, Starter Motor Kits, Wind Shield Washer Pumps and Oil Pressure Switches. Following a steady growth pattern, it has won recognition in the OE market for its quality and reliability, gaining reputed customers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland, Hindustan Motors, Maruti, Eicher, among others. Today, PMP is the single supplier of oil pressure switches to every OEM in India with a market share of over 70% of the Indian market.

Growth by acquisition

PMP Auto is on a hyper-drive and acquired two European companies in the last two years. First, it acquired Bakony Wiper Systems Pvt Limited, a Hungarian company in 2007 and in 2008, it took over PAL International, a Czech company. With these acquisitions, PMP auto commands a 7% of the market share in the wiping business segment in Europe. It controls 2% of the World market share in this business.

Miranda Tools manufactures HSS toolbits, saws, drills, end mills and taps (JV). With one of the most extensive distribution network in India the company also distributes and sells low alloy saw blades, carbide tipped tools, masonry drills, measuring instruments, power tools, clamps, carbide tools and other industrial tools. Equipped with state of the art technology for producing precision cutting tools conforming to IS, BS, DIN, JIS and ISO standards, Miranda Tools was the first Indian company manufacturing high speed steel tools to have been awarded the ISO 9002:1994 certificate by BVQI for all its products. Miranda Tools has a strong global thrust with 45% of its sales being from exports to the UK, Europe, South Africa and the Asia Pacific region. Since 2005, Miranda Few Tools Pvt. Ltd. has been manufacturing high speed steel taps through a joint venture with M/s. French Engineering Works Pty Ltd., (FEW) South Africa. FEW, considered specialists in HSS taps and threading tools has a wide distribution network with customers in over 40 countries, and has been instrumental in growing the footprint of our engineering products business globally.
